New Flooring Options

Over the past decade or so, many technological advances have been made in flooring. These advances have produced flooring materials with increased durability, more vibrant coloring, and better feeling. Here are some examples of these revolutionary new flooring types.
CorkComfort is a cork flooring made with multiple layers. The top layer is wear protection, which prevents scratches and abrasions from normal use. The design in the cork is made from a very thin sheet of veneer which covers a layer of pressed cork. Cork is known for its stability, warmth, and extreme comfort.
Vantage Bamboo flooring is made from Teragren®’s Xcora strand technology. This type of flooring is especially durable and is FSC certified, meaning it comes from an eco-friendly, socially responsible source (forest). It is a great way to maintain the elegant look of an older home while simultaneously having the benefits of a new one.
Reclaimed hardwoods are recycled woods found in historic buildings or old structures. There are many benefits to using these types of woods, including its uniqueness in age and character, environmental friendliness, and the access to woods which may now be illegal to reproduce.
Porcelain tiles have been around for quite some time, but only recently have they become available for the average homeowner to use. Porcelain is typically harder, denser and more resistant to damage from scratching and stains. It also has low water absorption, which makes it easier to clean.
